Ingredients
1 Puff pastry dough or Khari biscuit dough (In India)
2 tbp Butter
4 tablespoons fresh cream
1/2 cup of nuts (almonds, pistachios, walnut etc)
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
3 tablespoons of sugar(made into a syrup with 3tbp of water)
Preparation
· Thaw the puff pastry dough.
· finely chop all the nuts.
· Melt the butter, mix lemon juice with sugar syrup.
· Preheat the oven to 375F
Cut the puff pastry dough in triangles. Two inches in length.
Lightly butter a triangle and sprinkle it with some nuts. Layer it 2 to 3 times with more triangles, butter and nuts. place the triangles on the baking tray with more nuts on top.
Make several of these triangle pyramids and bake them in the oven for 15 min.
Once they rise, looking golden brown and crisp take them out and brush each with lemon sugar syrup.
Drizzle fresh cool cream on top before serving and serve warm.
P:S Do not sprinkle a lot of nuts between the layers as it prevents the Baklava from rising.
